ImageChef Clipart- You can create your own clipart. Includes a catalog of hundreds of templates for both still and animated creations.

COLOR

Support now exists for the color-challenged.
  • Adobe Color CC allows the amateur designer to explore and create color schemes, and browse, save and download thousands of themes.
  • Paletton allows users to navigate colors using a color wheel and to easily identify hex numbers.
  • Colour Lovers offers the opportunity to browse palettes, patterns, and individual colors, and to create and save your own palettes.
  • Upload a photo into Pictaculous and easily generate a palette to complement it. (This one also works on your smart phone!)

  • Designed for both the professional and the enthusiast, Color Explorer is a free online toolbox for designing and working with color palettes. It allows users to match colors, browse popular color libraries, export palettes into programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, analyze palettes from photographs and images, and store palettes.


PHOTO EDITORS

  • Aviary - Photo editing apps for iOS and android
  • BeFunky similarly offers nifty opportunities to not only edit images, but to add a wide variety of regular photographic and artsy effects, graphics, and text.
  • FotoFlexer is an excellent alternative basic photo editor.
  • PICASA has retired. Try Google Photos
  • Paint.net is a FREE Photoshop clone. It allows you to edit and manipulate photos, or create digital art. It has been compared to software packages such as Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Photo Editor. It is only available on windows-based machines.
  • GIMP-(GNU Image Manipulation Program) (instead of PhotoShop) This is a photo-editing app that has tools such as a simple paint program, a photo-retouching program, an image and authoring tool, and a format converter. Students use it for resizing, editing, and cropping photos, combining multiple images, and even a little animation. To see a lot of GIMP's features, click here.

TEXT GENERATORS

  • CoolText.com (interactive text/banner/button generator) a great site for students to create different and fancy fonts and/or titles for pages.
  • 3D Text Maker (generates static or animated text)
  • Glowtxt (generate text with or without glow)
  • Signbot (create animated srolling LED signage)
  • Supalogo (use the pull-down menu to quickly generate text, choosing color, outline, size, transparency)
  • Textanim 2.0 (Animated text generator)
  • WigflipToys and tools for the Web. Fun signs, graphics, scrolling text, sticky notes, etc...

And then there are those cool image generators. Or, Photofunia to create attractive frames and galleries for your images.
