Infohio is Ohio’s “virtual” library and information network for all PreK -12 Ohio schools. It is freely available to all teachers, students and their parents. Here you will be able to access databases, digital videos, research tools, practice tests, encyclopedias, teaching resources and much more.


GETTING STARTED

Logging In

Computers at school will automatically log in.
A username and password are required for home access. This can be acquired in two ways: contact Pam Hopkins in the High School Media Center or you may complete the 'Find My Password' form.

Screencasts

For a quick and easy way to learn more about INFOhio's tools, try the new screencasts! Each screencast is less than four minutes long and gives you the information you need to get started. Find them all on the INFOhio YouTube channel .

BookFlix. For grades PreK-3. Literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks with related nonfiction e-books to build a love of reading and learning.

Literature Online: American & English Literature. For grades 8-12.Full-text searchable works available as part of INFOhio’s Core Collection. Includes poetry, drama and fiction.

  • IMatrix - Standards tool that links inquiry skills with the Ohio learning standards and provides assessment and instructional strategy resources.

  • SketchUp Pro - All Ohio public school districts can request free access to Trimble SketchUp Pro, a 3D graphics software program.

Teaching Research Skills

  • ISearch - Infohio has created a search tool for students that is easy to use! No more searching each individual database. It will provide results from journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, biographies...anything available on INFOhio, all reliable.
    • For more information about using ISearch, look through the ISearch Getting Started Guide.
    • You can also download the ISearch widget to use on your school or classroom webpage and students can use it just like Google. If you would like help with embedding a widget, contact Pam Hopkins at the high school.
  • Go! Ask, Act, Achieve - Research guidance for grades 5-12. Includes teacher guide.
  • R4S: Research 4 Success - This online course for grades 11-12 focuses on how to conduct research in order to be successful in college and careers. Can be used to accompany a research project. Includes teacher guide.
