  • Ask, Act and Achieveis a great place to start for research. This is a wonderful resource that walks students through the process of how to do a research project - from "How do I choose a topic" all the way to "How do I evaluate my finished project". Includes a teacher's guide. Be sure to check this one out!

  • OWL - Purdue Online Writing Lab is another excellent resource to get you started!
  • This research guide will take you step by step through the "Big 6 Skills" of doing research so that you don't get lost along the way.
  • Steps to the research process - You've been assigned a research assignment. Now what do you do? Start by visiting your school library and following these steps. Don't forget that librarians are waiting to help. Just ask!
  • Support Materials for Teachers - The resources listed here are student activities (including graphic organizers), tip sheets, lesson plans and links related to the steps of the research process.
  • Anther great site to help with writing research papers is "Stating Your Case" which is a site that includes lessons and handouts on how to properly create a thesis statement and then use it effectively.
