CREATING SLIDESHOWS

Cool Tools for School is a great place to start.

  • If you have a Flickr account,
  • Be sure to create a google account and then you can create presentations in Google Slides!
  • PhotoPeach is a quick way to create slideshows with zooming comments, sound effects and music. It also lets you create quizzes on your slideshow.
  • PhotoStory- from Microsoft - You will need to download this free program. It can be used in many subject areas--just use your imagination. Create slideshows using your digital photos. With a single click, you can touch-up, crop, or rotate pictures. Add stunning special effects, soundtracks, and your own voice narration to your photo stories. Then, personalize them with titles and captions. Small file sizes make it easy to send your photo stories in an e-mail. Watch them on your TV, a computer, or a Windows Mobile–based portable device. You can import pictures and narrate a story and you can even add music to make the story more interesting. When you are finished, you can save it on your computer or share it via email. From your computer, you can save it to a DVD if you so desire
  • Roxio lets you add pictures and videos together and customize it to tell your story in an engaging way.
  • SlideRoll is a way to create slideshows from your own pictures using different transitions. You can also create slideshows in a documentary style.

  • Pear Deck is an interactive presentation tool. Students use their devices to follow along with the teacher's slideshow. Students can respond to pre-planned or impromptu questions from the teacher. They can respond anonymously or with their names, in real time in the classroom. Gain reports, map out responses, and show the class their answers. Great interactive fun. Grades: 3-12.
